Mrs. Orris Post-Secondary Education Advising and The Scholarship Plug are thrilled to announce the second year of our unique scholarship opportunity, now open to Junior Scholars throughout all of Florida and Puerto Rico! As we enter our second year of this partnership, we're excited to expand our reach and remain committed to empowering high school juniors on their journey toward college success. This scholarship includes a The Acceptance Plan bundle from Mrs. Orris PSEA and a one-year membership to The Scholarship Plug. The winning recipient will receive essential tools and expert guidance to prepare for a comprehensive college application.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for The College Launchpad Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Be a high school junior (Class of 2027).

Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA.

Provide ACT or SAT scores demonstrating college and career readiness scores.

Be a First-Generation Scholar (neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree).

Reside in a single-parent household or qualify as low-income (e.g., eligible for free/reduced lunch).

Able to participate in weekly virtual meetings from June 2026 to December 2026.

Submit a minimum 350-word essay on the topic:
The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

Exhibit a strong desire to pursue higher education and personal growth.

Provide a letter of recommendation from their Grade Level School Counselor or College Advisor, highlighting the applicant's character, leadership, academic potential, and financial need.

Submit a completed application, including all required document uploads, by the specified deadline of 11:59 PM (ET) on Sunday, May 24, 2026. No exceptions will be made.

Selection Process:
Recipients will be selected based on the quality of their essay, the strength of their recommendation letter, and their demonstrated commitment to pursuing post-secondary education. The selection committee will review all applications carefully, and the winner will be notified on June 15, 2026.
